to return the “rotation matrix” in principal component analysis based on the data “dat” and the number of principal components “num_pcs”, using the “varimax” method.
The closest equivalent in Python is to first use the factor_analyzer package:
from factor_analyzer import FactorAnalyzer
Then, we use the following code to get the “rotation matrix”:
fa = FactorAnalyzer(n_factors=3, method='principal', rotation="varimax")
fa.fit(dat)
print(fa.loadings_.round(2))

Windscribe.
Hupan Garden, Jack Ma’s Hangzhou apartment in 1999, is where it all began for Alibaba. On the eve of the company’s 20th birthday, we took Ma back to Hupan to reflect on those early days and what it took to build Alibaba into what it is today.
(He intentado esto antes).
Tarjeta SIM Hong Kong-Macao
How to Access Gmail, YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp in China
It is well-known that several essential websites are blocked in China:
The entire Google suite of products. This includes Gmail, Google search, YouTube, Google Drive, Google Scholar, etc.
The entire Facebook suite of products. This also includes WhatsApp since it is owned by Facebook.
Most other “Western” social media, such as Twitter.
Most blogging sites, including WordPress.com, Blogger.com. This includes not only the login pages but also all sites created by WordPress.com, Blogger.com, etc.
Most file-sharing sites, such as Dropbox.
Wikipedia
As you can see, the Great Firewall of China blocks many essential services that will inconvenience most people, whether you are a businessman, student, or just a casual tourist. It has worsened in recent years (2019 onwards) as the Firewall has gotten much stronger and many VPNs do not work as well as they did.
In this comprehensive guide, we will cover a variety of options (VPNs and more) that will help you bypass the Great Firewall of China, and connect to Google, YouTube, Facebook, et cetera. We include Free as well as Paid services, as well as non-VPN solutions.
***Very Important: All the VPNs be it free or paid must be downloaded and set up before you enter China. Once you enter China, you may not be able to download or set up an account on the VPN.
Free VPNs
Most websites do not tell you about Free VPNs as they gain no benefit (commission) from doing so. We will only recommend trusted, reliable free VPNs here. Do note that there exists some shady “free” VPNs that have the potential to steal or leak your data. The below Free VPNs do not require any credit card data.
***Important: If you are only relying on Free VPNs, it is recommended to download and set up 2 or 3 alternatives. This is because Free VPNs are usually less stable and more prone to be blocked as there are fewer server locations.
Windscribe Free VPN Review
A very decent Free VPN that is from a actual professional company. You get around 10 GB free data bandwidth that resets each month, with potential to get more by tweeting or referring to your friends.
Windscribe 10 GB free with potential to get more just by Tweeting on Twitter.
TunnelBear also provides a free plan (500 MB monthly) that does not require any credit card info from you. Based on my experience, Windscribe Free is better than TunnelBear free (based on chance of connection, and number of server locations). However, that being said, it can very well occur that at any given time, TunnelBear can connect while Windscribe cannot. Hence, the recommendation is to get both Free Windscribe and TunnelBear.
Lantern VPN Free Review
Lantern VPN is unique in the sense that it is not a VPN, but rather a “peer network sharing” tool. Since it works differently from a VPN, it could be the case that it is not blocked while other VPNs are. Lantern has a Free option (URL: https://getlantern.org/) which allows you to browse restricted websites while in China.
If you decide to upgrade to the paid version (Lantern Pro), you get more data and faster speed. Use my code YJVD2WT and get 3 months free when you sign up!
Conclusion for Free VPNs
It cannot be overemphasized that you need more than 1 choice if you are going the Free VPN route. It is highly recommended that you download and setup all of the above 3 Free VPNs before stepping foot into China.
Paid VPNs
Paid VPNs (翻墙软件 in Chinese) refer to those that require a monthly (or yearly) subscription fee. What many sites don’t tell you is that even Paid VPNs do not work 100%. Typically the VPNs are in an arms race with the Great Firewall. Once the Firewall makes an algorithm update to block the VPN, the VPN will engage in a time scramble to unblock itself. During that time, the VPN will not be accessible to the public. That being said, paid VPNs have more server options so it is more likely that it can successfully connect to one of those servers, compared to free VPNs which typically only have a few server locations.
PureVPN Review
PureVPN is our top choice for Paid VPNs due to its affordability and its track record.
PureVPN has a special “Optimized for China” set of servers, which allow users to bypass the Great Firewall of China effectively and automatically. In the event of intense blocking by the Firewall, just contact the PureVPN support which is very responsive. They will then direct you to adhoc manual steps to connect to a server, while they fix their main app. (I have tried this before.)
Promotion: Use the coupon code: discount10 for an extra 10% discount on PureVPN subscription.
NordVPN Review
NordVPN is consistently ranked top among all VPNs online. NordVPN is based in Panama which has no mandatory data retention law so they absolutely do not store logs.
NordVPN also has the ““obfuscated servers” function which disguises a user’s traffic to better avoid it being detected by the Firewall.
Many sites don’t tell you this, but in 2019 even Paid VPNs do not work 100% in China. Also it depends on the city, sometimes it works in Beijing but not Shanghai and vice versa. Good VPNs like the above work constantly to update their algorithm to minimize the downtime. You would still definitely want to supplement your Paid VPN with 1 or 2 Free VPNs to serve as backup.
Hong Kong-Macau SIM Card
The foolproof method of bypassing the Great Firewall of China is to use a Hong Kong-Macau SIM card. This is because even though Hongkong and Macau are part of China, there is no Firewall there under the “One Country, Two Systems” law. In summary, you will definitely be able to access Facebook, WhatsApp, Google using this SIM card.
This is an excellent option if you are a light to moderate internet user (the SIM card has a fast data limit of 6 GB, after which you still have data but the speed is reduced to 128kbps).
Tip: You should purchase the SIM card from China Unicom as it is one of the largest and most reliable telecommunications company in China.
Today I just found out about the AGGREGATE function in Microsoft Excel, which allows you to find the sum, average, median, product and various other statistical numbers while ignoring NaN values.
The usual Excel function of AVERAGE will produce errors if any of the cells are invalid.
With AGGREGATE, for instance if we want to calculate the average (while ignoring invalid cells), we just type in the Excel formula
Recently, World of Warcraft (WoW) classic is immensely popular once again. I previously played WoW classic (and the expansions Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King) up to level 80 for Gnome Mage. I can say that it is the most fun game that I have ever played. If I remember correctly, I played on Oceanic server “Thaurissan” and joined an Australian Guild named “Jetpack Ninjas”. At that time there was no Asia server (only North American and Oceanic servers).
The music theme for Stormwind (city of Humans) is one of my favorites.
It is well-known that the Singtel Recontract Voucher for phones/internet fibre broadband is quite elusive and hard to get nowadays. Long gone are the days where you can dial 1688 and speak to a human Singtel operator to give you the $100 voucher for you to recontract. Nowadays, the modern method to get the Singtel Phone Discount Voucher is through the Singtel Referral Phone Recontract Voucher online.
This post is mainly about Singtel Fibre broadband Discount Recontract Voucher. It is more of an offer, it is a 1 month free subscription with a new sign up to 1Gbps with WiFi Mesh Broadbandplan (worth around S$50). Based on monetary value, it is equivalent to a $50 voucher.
This is quite a nice exhibition to check out the history of Singapore before independence. Contrary to popular belief, Singapore was already far from a “fishing village” in 1819. Admission for Singapore citizens and PRs are free.
CapitaStar members can get a free tea infuser with an image of a tapir (how cool is that), with just 100 points.
Explore the 200 years leading up to the establishment of an entrepôt in Singapore in 1819, beginning with the bustling world of trade in the East Indies that attracted the Dutch and British East India Companies from the early 17th century. The exhibition is a telling of that story, and a reflection of the broader forces at play that culminated in the events of 1819.
Here’s an exclusive gift to CapitaStar members – get a tea infuser with an image of a Malayan tapir inspired by William Farquhar Collection of Natural History Drawings when you visit the exhibition at 100 STAR$ through CapitaStar App and redeem at National Museum exhibition counter at Basement 1!

If you are a regular user of Grab, there is a very easy way for you to have up to 14% discount on your Grab rides. The way is by purchasing Grab Vouchers for a lower price than its actual value.
To maximize your discounts further, you can use your credit card for purchase on Shopee to earn your credit card cashback on top of the lowered price of the Grab Voucher.
In the long run, this can save a great deal of money for those who take Grab taxi regularly.
It is an “open secret” last time that if you call the Singtel customer service hotline at 1688, they may give you a recontract voucher for you to get a new phone. In previous times it used to be as high as $100, then over the years it slowly reduced to $50. It seems that the voucher is gone now, for low usage customers (e.g. Combo 2 plan). That is, no more recontract voucher. That was my experience in September 2018. That being said, experiences may differ from user to user, you may still want to phone in to try your luck. The only reason I am still using Singtel is that the rest of my family is on the “Singtel Circle” plan.
Important Update: There is a new form of voucher, called the Singtel Referral Voucher, worth $100! Basically you switch to a new Combo Plan and get…
As most people will know by now, Singtel is cutting down the recontract voucher. Nowadays it is hard to get Singtel recontract voucher, or even if you get one the amount is very little compared to last time.
However, now there is a new deal of a whopping $100 voucher for Singtel Combo plans. It is via referral codes and promo codes. Click on the link on the top of this post (or see the bottom of the post for more details).
The above code will run two Python files “testing.py” and “testingb.py” simultaneously. Add more python scripts if needed. The first line is called the “shebang” and signifies the computer to run bash (there are various versions but according to StackOverflow the above one is the best).
The above bash file can be saved to any name and any extension, say “bashfile.txt”.
Step 2 is to login to Terminal (Mac) or Putty (Windows).
Type:
chmod +x bashfile.txt
This will make the “bashfile.txt” executable.
Follow up by typing:
nohup ./bashfile.txt
This will run the “bashfile.txt” and its contents. The output will be put into a file called “nohup.out”. The “nohup” option is preferred for very long scripts since it will keep running even if the Terminal closes (due to broken connection or computer problems).
I was trying to learn how to run Python scripts on a (remote) server. Amazingly, none of the Google first page results were relevant to what I wanted to do.
After much research (and searching around on the web), the steps that made it work are:
Type “ssh user@host” into the Mac Terminal. For example, if your username is bill and your host is microsoft.com, then type “ssh bill@microsoft.com”.
The system will prompt you for your password. Enter it carefully. (You may be locked out if too many incorrect passwords are entered. To unlock it, you will need to email your system administrator to unblock your computer’s IP address.)

The best tip to stay cool in the hot weather — Portable Air con (cheap). Recently, temperatures have been soaring consistently above 30 degrees Celsius in Singapore. For students, this is not conducive to studying (the human brain does not work well in such temperatures).
Singapore’s heat and humidity makes it quite unbearable to live without an air-conditioner. Especially for students who study, a hot and humid environment makes it harder to concentrate.
For long term purposes, most families will install a split aircon system like Mitsubishi Starmex.

However, for short term purposes (e.g. rental, or do not want the hassle of installing a permanent air-con), a portable aircon is the solution. A portable aircon will be enough to cool a small room (i.e. most HDB rooms and small Condo rooms).
Whatever you do, DO NOT buy those mist fans, they are close to useless since Singapore’s humidity is already close to 90%. Those mist fans work well in hot and dry desert-like environments, possible like Saudi Arabia or Australia. They work by…
About 20 per cent of SUSS’ parttime students do not make it to the second year. It currently has about 2,000 students who are at-risk, with a cumulative grade point average of 2.3 and below out of 5.
Students get an academic warning from the university if their cumulative grade point average falls below 2.0 out of 5 for the first time. The second time it happens, they are terminated. About 20 per cent of students in each intake receive an academic warning.
I think it is because of the difficult nature of part-time study; the students are actually adults who are working in the day, and studying in the evening/night. I can imagine that the daily routine can get quite tiring: 9am-5pm work and 6-10pm (?) lectures, not to mention homework and projects. It takes tremendous motivation and discipline to repeat the process for 3 to 4 years.

I have checked all the aquarium shops at the famous aquariums at Clementi Blk 328 (also known as C328 LFS). They do not carry the Python Water Changer or similar products such as the Aqueon Aquarium Water Changer.
I have personally purchased it and it arrived in good condition within a reasonably quick time. Some photos are attached below, with a stack of A4 paper as a size comparison.
There is also a related product by Aqueon that works basically the same way. According to online reviews it is also good, but possibly not as good as Python.
The benefits of these water changers is that they can not only fill the tank (a simple hose can already do that), but they can also draw water out of the tank, without using electricity. Basically they use suction from the tap (siphon effect) to draw water out.
Not sure why Singapore aquariums (LFS local fish shops) do not import these products as it seems quite a time saver and reduces the need for carrying buckets.
Note that online stores (such as Qoo10 or Lazada) may appear to carry these items, but at a much higher price than if you purchase from Amazon directly. The reason is that they are from dropshippers — when you order from them, they will act as the middleman and order from Amazon to send it to you.
I used 4 eggs and 1 small ripe avocado in this recipe. You can adjust it according to your preference, use more eggs, less avocado or less eggs and more avocado.
Boil eggs till they are hard boiled.
Cut each eggs into halves. Gently scoop out the egg yolk.
Put egg yolk and avocado in a bowl, mash them with a fork. Ripe avocado will make it a lot easier. I just mash them coarsely, so there is still avocado chunks in it.
Season with salt and black pepper.
Squeeze in 1/2 lime juice, 1/2 tbsp mayonnaise.
Mix well till fully combined.
Scoop egg yolk & avocado mixture with a spoon and put into the egg white.
You can sprinkle some more black pepper or smoke paprika powder.
Sending your child to nursery can be a very stressful decision. In fact, it is probably one of the most important decisions you will have to make for your child after he is born.
After all, the learning environment that they are exposed to at such a young age can have a significant impact on their long-term development. As education is so crucial for all children, it is critical that you dedicate the appropriate amount of thought to finding the right nursery for your child.
To help you with the search (it can certainly be an overwhelming one!), here are three essential things to look for when looking for the right nursery for your child.
1. A nursery that offers a safe and stimulating environment
First and foremost, you want to ensure that you are sending your child to a nursery that provides a safe and stimulating environment. Children who are under age three need to be cared for in a manner that is different to what is required for older children, which is why it is advisable to send your child to a nursery that is safe and offers a stimulating environment where your child can develop and thrive.
Take, for example, a nursery which is one of the top nurseries in Dubai. Here, children are not only in a safe environment but also in one that encourages them to move freely. The facilities ensure that there is the appropriate space for all parts of the curriculum to happen, as well as areas where children can be creative and use their imagination. Interestingly, these areas are designed to link in with “real-life experiences.”
More than just classroom areas, you want your nursery to have outdoor play areas so they can move and explore, as well as an indoor area with equipment for them to develop their physical balance and coordination.
2. A nursery with a strong curriculum — this matters so much!
As you may be able to tell, the key to finding a great nursery is to ensure that it has a wide array of facilities and offerings. However, the most crucial offering it must have is a strong curriculum as it is the curriculum that will be the backbone of your child’s experience at the nursery.
If you are living overseas, you may want to look for a British nursery in Dubai (or its equivalent) to ensure that your child is receiving the similar standard of a core curriculum that is based on the UK national curriculum.
When choosing between nurseries, make sure to take into consideration whether or not the staff administers the curriculum to each child’s unique learning needs and if they have a whole array of books and supplies that embrace all aspects of the curriculum. Ideally, the nursery you choose will offer extra-curricular activities and art classes such as music and dance intended to help your child develop their language, movement, and rhythm skills.
3. A nursery that encourages creativity
Undoubtedly, the best way for young children to learn is through play-based approaches.
More than just helping them gain basic knowledge, creative play promotes children’s social, cognitive, and physical development. Furthermore, activities that encourage children to be creative assist them in developing essential skills needed to interact, work, and cooperate with other human beings — yes, even at their age!
Therefore, when you are looking at potential nurseries, make sure to ask the staff how they utilize play and what they do to encourage the development of creativity. Additionally, you can ask them specifically how they structure the time for individual children’s interests. Last, but not least, pay attention to whether staff talk frequently to the children, even the younger ones, as this is critical to the development of the children’s communication and language skills.
Have you recently started looking at nurseries for your child? If so, what challenges are you facing when trying to identify which is the right one?
Alternatively, if you have already been through the process, what tips do you have to share with other parents who are currently struggling?
Let us start a conversation in the comments below!
Dunman High is a good school that has a very good school culture. It is strong in several CCAs (Co-curricular activities). Its Chinese Orchestra is exceptionally good (and large in terms of numbers), in fact most likely the top in Singapore among Secondary Schools, throughout the history of Singapore.
DSA Interview May be Conducted in Mandarin
According to reliable sources in Kiasuparents.com, Dunman High may well conduct the DSA Interview in Chinese, as a surprise, to test how the child reacts. This is also in line with the strong Chinese culture in Dunman High.
Quote 1: Hi All, congrad (sic) to all parents who have already got confirm CO. For those who are still going through the interviews just wanted to give a heads up to DD that are interviewing for SAP schools. My DD went to interview at DHS for sport and was asked to do the interview in Mandarin which caught her off guard. Unfortunately, she was only able to converse 50% of the interview in Mandarin but we were proud that she persisted instead of freezing up ..”

Quote 2: “Yes, Dino.
Dunman High interview for DSA both Western music and Chinese music section, were conducted in Mandarin. I shared this at DHS website
My friend’s child is a Singapore citizen. Luckily, child could converse in Mandarin fluently. On that day for music interview, other candidates were very nervous. One interviewee asked politely, if others can go first, before his (her) turn, because he (she) was so nervous, wasn’t ready. He (she) was still flipping through and reading his (her) interview notes.
Come to think of it, how about the other way round ? Not sure if interviewers at DHS interview candidate in English, ie. the other way round instead, if the DSA applicant (interviewee) happen to be a foreigner, from China, just to test and assess their level of proficiency in English Oral conversation ?
Hence, the conclusion is that the student needs to brush up more on Chinese / Mandarin skills (possibly reading some idioms or poetry) in order to prepare well for the Dunman High DSA Interview.
A favorite DSA Question may be to ask “What is your favorite Chinese book?“. It is good to make sure that your child has read at least one Chinese book and can conduct a decent conversation about it.
Since Dunman High can conduct its DSA Interview in Chinese/Mandarin, it is reasonable to expect that many SAP schools with strong Chinese culture may well do the same. The key idea may be to surprise the child so as to take him/her out of any home-prepared preparation, and make it more natural as opposed to memorizing a pre-determined script written by the parents.
For instance, some of the SAP schools with strong Chinese culture are:
The above schools are all good schools that either already have DSA or may be soon in line to adopt a DSA (Direct School Admission) program.
Hence, for the above schools, it is wise to prepare and practice the DSA Interview in both languages — English and Chinese.
Bad News for Purely English-Educated Kids
This is another bad news for purely English-speaking kids who are not good in Chinese (Mother Tongue), since they may be disadvantaged in the DSA Interview which is conducted in Chinese/Mandarin.
It may not be too late though, to brush up on one’s Chinese. Usually children can pick up languages very fast compared to adults. The preparation may need to start at least several years before the DSA Interview.
Previously we reviewed another free software RevMan5. RevMan5 is very good at doing meta analysis with placebo control groups. What it is not very good at is doing single arm meta analysis, that is, for clinical trials without a control group.
Open Meta Analyst can do single-arm meta-analysis, with the benefit that it seems even easier and more user-friendly than RevMan (which is already quite good with a GUI).
There are some YouTube tutorials on how to use Open Meta Analyst to do analysis on RCTs (Randomized Clinical Trials) and more.
According to many online reviews, an easy way to do Forest Plots (Forrest Plots) is supposedly to use the free RevMan software. RevMan (currently RevMan5) can be downloaded here. RevMan is a software geared towards medical statistical analysis.
RevMan is said to be the easiest method since at least it has a graphical user inferface (GUI). For total beginners, before even doing the Forest Plot, we need to learn how to enter the data into RevMan.
Overall, I think RevMan should be one of the easiest ways to do Forest Plots or meta-analysis. Furtheremore, the software is completely free. However, there is still a significant learning curve.
It’s a Korean style dish. I love almost all the food made from sticky rice.
For the sticky rice cake, I bought from supermarket. It’s vacuum pack. Sticky rice cake is very hard and dry. So first, I need to soak them in water and separate them. To make it easier, I also boil them in water for several mins until they get really big and fat and soft. Soak them in cold water and drain.
Prepare sauce: 2 tbsp Korean chili paste, 1/2 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1/2 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp syrup. Mix them well.
Heat a pan. Add in a little oil. Saute 2 cloves of chopped garlic and slices of 1 onion till aromatic.
Add in sauce, and pour in 1/2 1 cup water/stock. Stir to let the sauce dissolve evenly.
Put in drained rice cake and sausage slices. Boil till sticky rice cake…
Gone are the days where Math graduates were destined to low-pay teachers in the 60s to 90s.

Banana is one of my husband’s favorite fruit. But sometimes, He forgot to eat them, and banana got ripe very quickly. So I would use them to make smoothie or cake or bread.
This summer when we went back to my hometown, we brought so many walnut back. My mom just cracked them and store the shell-removed walnut in 2 large containers. My husband likes walnut, so he adds some in his yogurt. Yet, we still have a lot. So I tried to bake something with walnut and banana.
Ingredients:
Bananas 2
butter 1/2 cup
white sugar 1 cup
eggs 2
vanilla 1/2 tsp
flour 1 cup
baking soda 1 tsp
salt 1/2 tsp
cinnamon powder 1/2 tsp
chopped & toasted walnut 1 cup
Preheat oven to 170 Degree C.
Cream butter and sugar together till light and fluffy.
The original spelling is “Forest plot”, the name refers to the forest of lines produced.
In September 1990, Richard Peto joked that the plot was named after a breast cancer researcher called Pat Forrest and as a result the name has sometimes been spelled “forrest plot”. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forest_plot
Total marks: 360 (Approx. 270 T-score) Total AL: 4
The Math/Science whiz (total AL 8) will be getting double the score of the “all-rounder” (total AL 4), effectively eliminating his chance of entering the top schools. The irony is that the total marks of the Math/Science Whiz is a considerable 6 marks more than the “all-rounder”.
Under the old system, both are likely to get around the same T-score (approx. 270+), with the Math/Science whiz having a higher T-score.
Prepare a boneless chicken leg. Cut it slightly to prevent curling up while cooking. Season it with salt and black pepper.
Heat a pan. Usually I don’t add in oil, cos chicken leg contains fat. So Just sear the chicken with skin side down. Fry with medium-low heat for 3-5 mins or till skin turns golden. Flip it over and fry the other side till brownish too.
Chicken out into a plate. There will be some oil left in the pan. Just use it to saute 1 chopped garlic clove. Then add in mushroom slices. Stir fry till aromatic.
Pour in 1/2 cup stock. Simmer for 3 mins.
Add in 1/4 cup milk, also season with salt, pepper and mixed dried herbs.
Put Chicken back into the pan. Simmer for 10 mins to let it completely be cooked.

SCGS (Singapore Chinese Girls’ School) follows the IP system, with students having the option to continue to Eunoia Junior College, the newest JC.
SCGS IP Mathematics
SCGS IP Mathematics is still split into E Maths (Elementary Mathematics) and A Maths (Additional Mathematics). Content-wise, it is quite similar to O level Mathematics, except that the order of topics taught can be quite arbitrary and up to the school teachers.
SCGS Math Exams
On paper, SCGS has few “exams” and has totally eliminated the midyear exams. In actual fact, there are still numerous tests just that they don’t use the word “exam”.
For example, a sample syllabus for SCGS’ A Math Block Test for Secondary 3 students (around July) is:
Simultaneous Equations
Surds
Indices
Logarithms
Quadratic equation of expressions (alpha and beta)
The syllabus for the E Math Block Test is:
Quadratic Equations
Linear Equality / Inequalities
Indices and Standard Equations
Coordinate Geometry
Graphs of Function and Geometry (including quadratic graph, curve sketching and graphical solution, and graphs in practical situations)
Area & Volume of similar figures and solids
Congruence and similarity
Applications of Trigo (Angles of Elevation and Depression), Trigonometric ratios of acute and obtuse angles (excludes bearings and 3d shapes)
The rule of my husband’s bento: there must be at least 1 meat dish.
This time, I tried pork.
Prepare soup. Cos soup is time-consuming. I can let the soup on the stove while preparing other dishes. Wash ribs. Put them in a pot and add in enough water. Bring to boil. Skim the soup to remove all the dirt. Simmer for 30 mins. Add in carrot and corn. And simmer for another 20-30 mins.
Pork belly in the pot. Enough water in and bring to boil. Take the pork belly out and wash clean. Cut into small chunks. Heat a pan. Add in a little oil. Sear the pork belly till brownish. Add in light soy sauce, dark soy sauce and sugar. Stir fry evenly. Add in enough hot water, also bay leaves and star anise. Lid on and simmer for about 20 mins. Lid off and reduce the…
